Frequently Asked Questions

There's a problem with my order – what do I do?

Email us as soon as possible. The sooner we know, the sooner we can sort it. If we can't fix it, you'll get a full refund for anything missing or wrong.

I'm going on holiday. Can I pause my Friday Fish Box?

Yes! You can manage your subscription from your account dashboard (log in, top right of website). You can skip a delivery, pause indefinitely or cancel your subscription anytime.

Is there a delivery charge or minimum order?

No to both. Delivery is always free – it's included in your membership. If you're ordering extra from the Fish Market or Fish Concierge there is no minimum order.

Can I place a bespoke or bulk order?

Yes. We call it the Fish Concierge. If you need something special for a dinner party, celebration, or event, call us directly on Mondays and we'll source it for you. Not sure what you want? Tell us your budget and the occasion and we'll make a recommendation.

Can I amend or cancel my Fish Market order?

Once you have placed your order, it is not possible to amend or cancel, so please check carefully before completing your purchase.

What if I forget to put my PolyBox out?

We'll leave your fish in a recyclable cardboard box instead. It's less insulated than your PolyBox, so get it into the fridge as soon as you're home.

How do I look after my PolyBox?

Rinse it out, pat it dry, and store it inside. Don't stack heavy things on it or leave anything sharp near it – polystyrene punctures easily. One box should last you years.

What if my PolyBox is lost or damaged?

Get in touch and we'll arrange a replacement at cost.

How can you offer restaurant-quality fish at these prices?

Because we've been supplying North Norfolk's best restaurants for years, Ned and James have built direct relationships with fishermen who know exactly what we need – and won't sell us anything that doesn't meet that standard. This buying power allows us to offer you below-market prices.

As for freshness: we collate all orders on Wednesday and go fishing the same day. Your fish arrives with us on Thursday for portioning and packaging; and is on your doorstep Friday morning. That's the shortest journey from sea to plate you're going to find. Unless you catch it yourself.
