Our Story
Ned has been handling fish for over twenty years. He knows what a good fish looks like, smells like, feels like. Over time, he's built longstanding relationships with some of Norfolk's oldest fishing families. He knows who catches what, where it comes from and when it's worth buying.
James spent years supplying seafood to some of the biggest names in retail – from cruise ships to supermarket chains. Good work, but not his work. He wanted something smaller, with more human connection. He wanted to know the people he was supplying to.
Between them, they've been serving North Norfolk's best restaurants for years. The Globe, Socius, The Old Bank and many others. If you eat fish in this part of the world, there's a good chance you've already eaten theirs.
"If you eat out in Norfolk and order fish, there's a 90% chance you're already eating our fish."
The Club wasn't our idea, it was yours. People kept asking if they could buy directly from us and eventually we said yes. The model is simple: select a subscription box and we'll do the rest!
There are six of us now at Brancaster Seafood Club, and we all live within five miles of each other here in North Norfolk. We're not a logistics company with a fishmonger's logo on the side. We're people who love this beautiful coastline, know these fishermen and want to bring something genuinely good to your table.
That's it, really.
